The Case Study of Physiotherapy Treatment of a Patient after total hip replacement

Title: The Case Study of Physiotherapy Treatment of a Patient after total hip replacement. Objectives: The main aim of this work was to summarize theoretical and practical knowledge about total hip replacement and to process a case study of a patient with this diagnosis. Methods: This work consists of two main parts - general and special part. The general part contains information about hip joint anatomy and kinesiology, coxarthrosis, congenital hip dysplasia, total hip replacement and rehabilitation after total hip replacement. A special part is processed in the form of a case study of a patient after implantation of total hip replacement. It includes anamnesis, entry kinesiological examination, goals of short-term and long-term therapeutic plan, description of therapeutic units, outcome kinesiological examination and a final evaluation of the effect of therapy. Results: The goals of the short-term therapeutic plan were fulfilled. During the therapy, soft tissues were relaxed, the muscle tone of the hypertonic muscles was reduced, the range of motion in the joints of the lower limbs increased, the joint play restored, the weakened muscles strengthened, the shortened muscles stretched and the gait improved.
